WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
When you visit the BizLoom.com website or the BizLoom Global Network via a BizLoom-powered Marketplace, BizLoom may collect from you the following types of information:
Registration and Order Information

In order to enroll as a member and access the BizLoom Global Network, you must first complete a registration form. During registration, you will be required to give certain contact information, including your name, email address, business name, business address, etc. This registration information is necessary in order to participate on the BizLoom Global Network.

If you decide to participate in any transactions on the BizLoom Global Network we will request information from you for that transaction through an appropriate form. Here you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). Without that information, you will be unable to complete the transaction on the BizLoom Global Network.

In some cases, BizLoom may also ask you to provide us with additional information in order for us to do something you have requested. You may, for example, be asked to provide us with contact information so that we may contact you directly. Such information will only be used for the purpose for which it was received.
Passive Information
As you browse our corporate website or any of the Threads on BizLoom's Global Network, our web servers collect information about your visit, but not about you personally. Via web server logs, we monitor statistics such as:


How many people visit our site

Which pages people visit on our site

The IP address (which is not the same as an email address)
identifying your internet service provider

Which browser software and operating systems people use to visit our site

We collect that information in such a way that it is not associable to you - in other words, it is "Non-Personally Identifiable Information."

Other Information

In some instances, BizLoom receives information about you from its business partners. One example of this is if you complete a unified registration process with one of our business partners, and your registration information process is passed to us by that partner. If that happens, BizLoom will treat such information as if it was directly collected or entered on the BizLoom.com website or the BizLoom Global Network.

BizLoom's Global Network also contains areas that allow you to communicate directly with other members of the Global Network, either through chat rooms, guest books, notes to documents or other open or direct fora that are hosted by BizLoom. Please be aware that others may collect that information and use it to send you unsolicited e-mail from outside BizLoom, or for other purposes.

In addition, BizLoom recognizes that certain information of a key demographic nature, e.g., race, age, gender, national origin, income, while not itself Non-Personally Identifiable Information, is still of a sensitive nature to users. As a general matter, BizLoom does not collect such information about you unless you affirmatively choose to give it to us. However, in recognition of the sensitive nature of such information, in the event BizLoom comes into possession of such information, whether through your voluntary submission of such information in response to a special feature on the BizLoom.com website or Global Marketplace, or by receiving such information from any of our business partners, such information shall be treated as registration information personally identifiable to you.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT?


Registration and Order Information We use your Registration Information to enable you to enter the BizLoom Global Marketplace (via login), to take advantage of our Marketplace personalization capabilities, such as your "MyBizLoom" and to track transactions in which you participate on the BizLoom Global Marketplace. Subject to the "opt-out" policy set forth below, we may also use your Registration Information to send you information about our company and promotional materials from our business partners, or to customize various aspects of the BizLoom website or the BizLoom Global Marketplace to your preferences.


If you register as a Seller on the BizLoom Global Network, we will also list your business with our online Yellow Pages. You may opt out of the Yellow Pages service either upon registration (by checking the appropriate box), or after registration, as set forth below.


We use your Order Information to process any transaction in which you have chosen to participate on the BizLoom Global Marketplace. In the course of doing so, we will use the Order Information internally to keep track of the transaction, as well as providing that information to other Marketplace Members who are parties to the transaction, e.g. sellers to whom an RFQ is sent, buyers to whom a bid is sent, etc. If we have trouble processing a transaction, we may use this contact information to get in touch with you.

Passive Information

In general, BizLoom collects passive information because it gives us important feedback about the services we offer, including how the BizLoom.com website and BizLoom Global Network are being used, popular areas of the website and BizLoom Global Network, the population and transaction numbers in each of the BizLoom-powered Marketplaces, and the effect of our promotional activities as they are targeted. Other than these general uses, BizLoom does not use this information directly to contact or market to you. We may also provide this data in aggregated form to business partners, but we will do so in a way in which you are not identifiable.

Security Measures

The BizLoom.com website and BizLoom Global Network are highly secure, with extra security - including Secure Socket Layering, or "SSL" -- in place to protect personal and transaction information. The servers hosting our website and the BizLoom Global Network are behind a firewall and are monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. BizLoom utilizes encryption and security software to safeguard the confidentiality of the personal information we collect.

BizLoom is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, including such websites' use of any user information. As a general matter, information about you that you provide while at these other websites, or that is collected from you based on your use or actions while at these other websites, will be protected by the privacy statement or policy, if any, posted on that website.

DO WE USE A THIRD PARTY TO SERVE OUR ADS?

BizLoom sends to your web browser most of the advertisements you see when you access the BizLoom.com corporate website or Marketplaces on BizLoom's Global Network. However, we also allow other companies known as "third-party ad servers" or "ad networks" to serve advertisements within our web pages. Because your web browser must request these advertising banners from the ad network web site, these companies can send their own cookies to your cookie file, just as if you had requested a web page from the site. Please note that if an advertiser asks BizLoom to show an advertisement to a certain audience (for example, men ages 18-34) and you respond to that ad, the advertiser or third party ad-server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. These third-party ad servers have privacy policies of their own, which govern how they treat information collected from you. Opting Out of Third-Party Ad Servers If you want to prevent a third-party ad server from sending and reading cookies on your computer, currently you must visit each ad network's web site individually and opt out (if they offer this capability).

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND HOW DO WE USE THEM?
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user.BizLoom's cookies do not include personal information about you, but they are unique to each user and include a member ID # (a randomly generated unique number) that enables BizLoom's server to identify you when you visit. We do that so that: (1) if you choose, you do not have to remember your username and password each time you visit the website; (2) you can receive any personalized services you requested when you registered; and (3) we can measure the click-through rates on ads and emails delivered. Neither our website, the BizLoom Global Marketplace, nor the cookies we write to your hard drive, read any data off of your hard drive outside of our cookies. We also do not read any cookie files created by other websites. You can refuse our cookies by turning them off in your browser (for more information on how to do this, please refer to your browser's documentation). Although you must provide registration information to us if you wish to participate in the BizLoom Global Network, you may choose to "opt out" of receiving solicitations, newsletters or other promotional materials from BizLoom or its business partners. Your "My PPRO page" provides you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such communications. In addition, you may unsubscribe to any of our electronic mailings at any time by following the instructions at the end of every mailing. Users of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so that you can make an informed choice as to whether or not you should proceed with services that require an outside party.

HOW DO YOU CORRECT, UPDATE, OR DELETE INFORMATION WITH US?

The BizLoom.com website and BizLoom Global Network give users the option, through automated procedures available on the website, to correct, update or delete any information previously provided to us by the user; however, we will maintain copies of user information to the extent retained as part of our standard backup/archive process or as necessary to fulfill the records retention requirement of our auditors and business partners. In addition, these procedures will not remove such of your information that has been provided by you to, or collected from you by, the websites of our business partners. We are not responsible for ensuring the removal or deletion from the websites of our business partners of your information provided by us to our business partners as permitted by you or otherwise in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes conspicuously so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
